Atika Hassan Raza

She has over a decade of experience as an expert legal professional both in Pakistan and the United States. Atika started her legal career as an apprentice and an associate attorney with Chaudhary Azmat Ullah and thereafter she joined Honorable Justice Umar Atta Bandial and worked directly under his supervision on corporate litigation focusing on contracts and agreements. Atika moved to United States to pursue her academic and professional growth and completed her LL.M from Washington University School of Law and St. Louis, Missouri specializing in Alternate Dispute Resolution. Atika is a certified mediator and have worked with United States Arbitration and Mediation, Better Business Bureau and International Institute as a Mediator/Arbitrator and a legal consultant. Moving up in her professional career Atika joined Granite Construction, California as a corporate and contract legal consultant and thereafter moved back to Pakistan. Atika is a team member of Human Rights Protection Center (HRPC) a well established full scale Law Firm that practices pro-bono legal work for the deserving clients and is in collaboration with HRPC School of Law (HSoL) in providing practical legal training to the students of HSoL in shaping them to be trained and successful lawyers with integrity.

Deeya Farrukh Niaz

Deeya Farrukh earned her bachelor’s degree in Law with Honors from University of London and thereafter Masters from the University of Law in London specializing in Business Law.
Deeya is a dynamic hard working individual who has made a mark for herself in learning and practicing law with her skills and intelligence. Deeya is currently a part of HRPC team where is is representing the clients in upholding their human rights, women’s rights and Animal rights. She has been vocal about women empowerment and about the issues pertaining to the law in Pakistan. Deeya is also a published writer and has written, among other things, Human Rights Review and for Courting the Law, Pakistan.

Barrister Shehryar Riaz Sheikh

Barrister Shehryar returned to Pakistan after completing his education in 2011 and started practice as an associate at Ranjha Law Chambers and has worked as the Legal Consultant to the Attorney General for Pakistan. Currently Barrister Shehryar is a Partner at Sayeed, Hafeez & Mirza. He has an avid interest in constitutional law and has gained his experience and increasing interest in the field through his dynamic practice and learning at the office of the Attorney General Pakistan and Ashtar Ali & Co. In his career, he has set the bar high for his peers by assisting and participating in the litigation before the Supreme Court of Pakistan as well as High Court all credit to his love for research and learning on the Constitutional questions and practice.
Shehryar has also delved into a wide range of areas of legal practice other than the constitutional law including the matters before NAB and Corporate matters. Barrister Riaz works extensively on matters relating to regulatory compliance in the Telecom sector and has been engaged by a major telecom operator in various regulatory matters before the Islamabad High Court and PTA. Additionally, he has dealt with taxation matters and has represented FBR before the Lahore High Court in cases relating to sales tax, income tax etc. He also advises Banks on filing of recovery suits and execution of decrees, draft settlement agreements and provides advice on regulatory compliance.

Murad Ali Khan Marwat

Murad is a seasoned High Court Attorney and a founding Partner at NWMS Law Firm and has been a training professor of Law. He has gained his experience working with Khwaja and Cheema Law Chambers and with the office of Advocate General. Murad has his practice revolving around a variety of Criminal and Civil matters and has a peaked interest in Constitutional law. He has a strong grasp of the matters relating to Companies and Corporate registration at Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP); Private and Public listed companies’ incorporation; public floatation security listing; joint ventures, commercial and partnership contracts and agreements; and, shareholder agreements, employee ownership and management buyouts; and antitrust issues; Brand protection, copyrights and media registration and protection; domain name and dispute resolution; Handled various Patent and trademark registration and protection, unfair competition, civil, labor, tax, registration and company laws and perform due diligence. Murad is especially proficient in various legal research techniques and avenues. Other than his professional and academic excellence, Murad is also very active in extracurricular activities and sports. He has earned the Sports Blazer for 5 year; stood 3rd in backstroke Punjab swimming Competition; and is an expert Horseback rider.

Hooria Hayat Khan

Hooriya is a women rights advocate and is a seasoned lecturer, legal researcher, trainer in the field of gender and law and a published author. Working with the development sector since 2009. She headed the law department at Shirkat Gah Women’s Resource Center for 4 years. She has also worked as a consultant for policy institutions and think tanks like the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP) and Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS). Hooriya is also a published author and has published papers on sexual violence and the legal system and on women’s land and inheritance rights. She has conducted training sessions on equal citizenry, rights and justice along with the UN human rights framework and its interaction with Pakistan’s legal system. Hooriya also has a significant contribution in leading and assisting on research projects and has been responsible for designing and finalizing research methodologies and qualitative tools, training research teams on data collection, leading the pilot and overseeing the process of data collection, undertaking all data processing, translations and writing research report which were published, presented and used in policy dialogues. Other than her impressive contribution in law and policy, Hooriya has been teaching law for over a decade, her signature courses include Equity and Trusts, Contracts and IPHR.

Barrister Tabraiz Abbas

Barrister Tabraiz Abbas Tarrar is with us along with his exceptional experience in Litigation and Advocacy in personal injury, Civil Matters, and Tort. One of a very few Individuals, Barrister Tabraiz is the only one Certified in Mediation, ADR-ODR and has an impressive teaching record with him to prove his excellence. He got his education in law from the City University of London. He is also a member of Lincoln’s Inn.
